IntroductionYou and your family are on summer vacation in Florida. One afternoon you and your brother decide to go  check out the swamps. Instead of staying out of the water  like you were suppose to you decide to wade in the water just along the edge. While wading you see a log floating ahead of you.  All of the sudden the log begins to move. You realize it is not a log, but a crocodile or an alligator. With this webquest you you will be able to identify which one it was.walking

The Process
1. You will work in groups of two to complete this project.
2  You will be allowed to use any of the information on the alligator and the crocodile.  You may want to look at all of them to decide which one you like best.
3.  Get a piece of  notebook paper and divide it down the middle. Label one side "compare" ( how they are alike) and the other side "contrast" (how they are  different).
4.  Next, using all of you resources, begin listing all the ways that the alligators and  crocodiles are alike and how they  are different. Try to have at least five on each side.
5.  After you have gathered the information you are going to write a paragraph. You must have an opening statement (ex.Crocodiles and alligators are alike but are also different in many ways.) You must have two paragraphs, on how they are alike and the other how they are different.
6.  Remember to indent your paragraph and to use capital letters and periods at the end of your sentences.
7.  You will draw a picture of an alligator and a crocodile on one big piece of drawing paper.
8.   Glue your report to the back of your pictures so when you  read your report to the class they can see your pictures.
9.  The last thing you must do is complete an art project. I have given you three choices. Click on the projects listed below to decide which one you would like to complete. You will find all the supplies you need back on the art table.
