In this quest you will be studying about different owls. You will be able to describe your owl to the class in a report you will write after you do your research. You will be able to plot the geographic location of your owl on a map. You will be able to answer questions about all of the owls in the quest when this mission is completed.
You will be doing research on your owl during this quest. Your explorations will help you:

1. Pick an owl.
2. Click on your owl, and answer the following questions

3. Plot the location of your owl on a map. Click on the image below, and print out a copy of the map of North America. Shade in the geographic location of your owl.
4. Write a report about your owl. Your report needs to be a descriptive essay that is at least 2 pages long (handwritten). You need to include your completed map with your report.
5. Present your report to the class. (Your classmates will be taking notes on your report in order to study for the quiz that will be given at the end of the unit.)
6. Take a quiz
on all of the owls presented.
You will be graded on a rubric.

owls. You learned what they looked like, their habitat, and geographic
locations in North America. You learned how to present what you learned
to your class, and how to take notes when others were presenting material.
You were able to assess what you learned by taking a quiz about all nine
owls. Your mission is now complete.
