The purpose of this web quest is
to introduce the major reasons, events and people of the American Civil
War. The Civil War is the only war that has been fought on American soil
to this date. This war changed several trends in American society and brought
the people of the United States to a different viewpoint. Students who
complete this web quest will be able to discuss the issues that brought
on the war, identify the major political and military figures and battles.
Students will be able to discuss the lifestyles and beliefs of people in
both the North and the South along with identifying some common myths and
mysteries regarding this historical event.
