Have you seen this little monkey lately?  Did you know that Curious George  is celebrating his 60th birthday this year,  2001?  Don't monkey around.  Swing in and visit this character now!




The Task

With a partner you will:

  • Listen to a tape of Curious George by H. A. Rey
  • Visit web sites
  • Compare and contrast the book character to the live animal
By yourself you will:
  • Write a poem about George
  • Pretend  you are George and write a story about your day

The Process

1. Listen to story on tape.

2. Visit web site and find the title of 2 other books written about George.
