Introduction
How many of you would like to make Christmas decorations that will be so beautiful that your family will want to use them at Christmas and keep for years?  Today we will learn and make two Christmas wreaths that you will enjoy making and love taking home.  It will be very important for you to read and follow directions so that your project will be successful.



The Task

  • listen carefully to directions for each wreath
  • make a decision as to the wreath that you will choose to create
  • read the directions for the supplies that will be necessary to create your wreath
  • follow directions and work quietly
  • when project is complete, you may go to web sites to discover other Christmas projects that could be created at home or at school.


 

Resources

  • Pretzel Wreath
  • Supplies:
    • little heart shaped pretzels with a cross in the middle
    • white school glue
    • pre-cut ribbon (length will be determined by size of wreath)
  • Baggie Christmas Wreath
  • Supplies:
  •     one wire coat hanger
  •     box of Baggie brand sandwich bags
  •     hot glue gun
  •     misc. mini size decorations/bows

 

The Process
You will follow these steps.
 

  • Listen carefully to teacher's directions.
  • Decide on the wreath that you would like to make.
  • Go to the table of your choice and pick up directions for making your wreath.
  • Read directions with a partner.
  • Collect materials and return to your seat.
  • Have fun creating your wreath.
