Emergency School Closing |
| Inclement weather may cause the closing of school or altering the school day. during this time the decision to close school will be based on the road conditions and weather forecasts. Roads will be checked in various locations of the district between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m. |
| If school is to be closed, or staring late, Mr. Adams will make the decision by 6:00 a.m. Watch TV channels 3 or 6 for information. A decision to start school late may change to "cancelled" if conditions are good at 6:00 but get much worse by 8:00 a.m. Watch Channels 3 and 6 until 8:00 a.m. |
| Parents should assume that school will be held unless notification is otherwise received. Please do not call the TV stations, teachers, administrators or the school. This will tie up telephones of people who need to make calls. |
| If a winter storm should move into the area during the school day, classes may be dismissed early for the safety of the students. If this happens, students will be allowed to notify parents. However, parents with younger students, who work outside the area should discuss with their children what they should do if school is dismissed early. Parents should make sure that the elementary teachers have a phone number where you can be reached during the day. |
